Our commitment
We want everyone to be able to use Persona Journey, including people who use a keyboard, a screen reader, voice control, magnification or a small screen. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across the whole product, on phones, tablets and desktops.
Standards we use
WCAG 2.2 level AA is our baseline. It maps to the web requirements in AS EN 301 549:2024, the Australian adoption of EN 301 549, and to EN 301 549 itself, which supports the European Accessibility Act. In Australia we also work with the Disability Discrimination Act 1992 and the Australian Human Rights Commission guidance on web accessibility.
What we test
Today we check the following:
- Automated accessibility checks that run in our build pipeline on every change.
- Keyboard use: every action reachable, a visible focus indicator, no keyboard traps.
- Zoom and text size up to 200% without losing content or function.
- Reduced motion: animation is switched off when your device asks for it.
- Dark mode and sufficient colour contrast in both themes.
Not yet done: testing with native screen readers by people who use them every day. Automated checks find only some problems, so we expect there are barriers we have not found. We plan to add this testing, and we will update this statement when it happens.
Known limitations
- The prototype editor and the Build workspace are designed for larger screens. On a phone they offer a reduced view for playing, inspecting and reviewing; full editing needs a tablet or desktop.
- Map views, such as the code relationship map, are visual. Each one has a list alternative that shows the same information as text.
Tell us about a barrier
If something is hard to use, email persona@wahub.ai. Tell us the page, what you were trying to do, and the device or assistive technology you use. We reply within 5 business days and will say what we can do and when. If we cannot resolve it, you can contact the Australian Human Rights Commission.
